I love to travel. Traveling sets my soul free. It allows me to see and experience a much larger world than me. Growing up as a kid I only traveled in California and a couple of times down to Ensenada, Mexico. My mom was not a traveler but she never stopped me from traveling. I remember as a kid she would put me on the Greyhound bus and let me visit my family in Bakersfield, California. She wanted me to see the world although she herself was scared of heights and scared of most things. She did not teach me to be fearful. She taught me the exact opposite.
Hawaii is one location that I never thought about going to visit. I have some cousins that I always heard my Aunt Mary Lou talk about living on one of the islands. But, it was never anywhere that I thought about visiting myself. Luckily for me, my wife likes to shop. So, Hawaiian Airlines sends out an email campaign offering a ridiculous offer on airfare that my wife could not pass up. She calls me one day and says we are going to Hawaii. I am glad she did this. I needed a change of scenery. I get inspiration when I travel. I get a chance to take my camera and see it differently than everyone else.
Hawaii is beautiful. I know there is a God without a doubt.
